Summer Packets
It is expected that students have completed the appropriate packet for the course they are entering.  Students should feel proficient in most of these skills.
Incoming HL 1-2 students must have this packet complete on the first day of the school year.  The first proficiency is Prior Knowledge and will be given on Day 3.  This packet is the review for that.  Bring questions on Day 1.  Some incoming HL 1-2 students have asked about additional practice to prepare.  This is optional but you may go to the HL 1-2 page (linked to the left) and study and do problems from Chapters 1,3,4,5,6,10 and the Background Knowledge section.  Most of this is Prior Knowledge for the course.

Incoming SL 1-2 students must have a knowledge of these skills as they will not be retaught.  These are review problems and there will be a limited amount of time to ask questions before your first Prior Knowledge test.
Incoming SL 3-4 students must have this packet complete on the first day of the school year.  The first proficiency will be Prior Knowledge and a test will be given on Day 3 or 4 .  This packet is the review for that.  Bring questions on Day 1. You will be learning new material during those first few days so, no much review time will be given in class

Incoming SL 3-4 students must have a knowledge of these skills, which they learned in SL 1-2 or/and Algebra 3-4 as they will not be retaught.  These are review problems and there will be a limited amount of time to ask questions before your first Prior Knowledge test. You may use your Flex on the first week should you need extra help.
HL 3-4 students will have a Prior Knowledge test in the first few days of the school year.  This test can include any material from SL 1/2/3/4 and HL 1/2.  It's expected that you will review your own notes and past tests to cover the basics.  This packet offers you challenging problems to keep up your math skills.

In addition, you might want to think about an Internal Assessment topic during the summer so you are ready to go in the fall. Here are a couple resources to help you: Information about the  IA information   IA ideas, an Incomplete List (meaning you don't need to choose something from this list).
Incoming Alg 3-4 students must have this packet complete on the first day of the school year.  The first proficiency is Prior Knowledge and will be given on Day 3.  This packet is the review for that.  Bring questions on Day 1.
