Linchpin Courses and Workshops

To help you master the 50 essential communication skills, we've developed a unique, integrated structure of coursework, 50-Second Fixes, support, community, communication resourcesresearch, even the offerings of The Linchpin Store. Each supports the other, and all support you.

Linchpin courses help you be more productive by making your communications more effective. Over our robust professional and academic careers, we've developed -- in concert with some highly successful global client businesses -- a deep understanding of the skillsets that professionals need, and the course structures and delivery mechanisms that will work best to help you learn.  The value of a Linchpin course or workshop doesn't end when it's over, because our goal isn't to have you take the course; it's to have you become a better communicator, and make those around you better communicators, too.

Below is a summary of our courses, workshops, support materials, delivery options, and pricing. For information about Linchpin's CrisisLab, please go to that page. Our courses and workshops are designed to get you more comfortable with your message, your audience, and yourself. Each focuses on specific skills, but also reinforces the skills you gain in other courses and workshops. For outlines of the courses and workshops, please download our Course Catalog. Custom courses and learning packages are continually developed as clients tell us that they need them.

Support, Delivery & Pricing:

Courses and workshops are supported by access to exclusive print, electronic, and video materials, as well as the Linchpin Community, and The Linchpin Store. The idea, obviously, is to reinforce, and to continue reinforcing. The research shows that we learn best when material is delivered in more than one way.

Linchpin delivers a range of course work in the ways that make most sense for you and your people. Professors Barr and Labash have taught in classrooms all over the world; via videoconference and dedicated synchronous distance learning systems; online via web applications; on The Linchpin Channel at; even in Second Life.
