I received my bachelor's degree from University of Science and Technology of China, and my PhD degree from University of California, Los Angeles. After postdoctoral fellowship at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, I joined CHOP and UPenn as an Assistant Professor in 2013.

Postdoctoral Fellow
I received my PhD. Degree at Peking University in Beijing, China. My main interest is in the regulation of mitochondrial function by estrogen-related receptors. In my free time, I like to practice standard dance.

I received my PhD. Degree at Northwest A&F University in Shaanxi, China. My main research interest is to find the potential receptor of Growth Differentiation Factor 15 (GDF15) in liver. When I have time, I’d like to go hiking and climbing.

Mohammad Zarei, Ph.D. 
Postdoctoral Fellow
I received my PhD. Degree from University of Barcelona's Faculty of Medicine, Barcelona, Spain. My expertise is liver diseases, endocrinology, and metabolic disorders. Here, I am particularly interested in studying fatty liver disease associated with pediatric heart disease.
In my leisure time, I like to practice sports, gardening, calligraphy, videography, mountain climbing, and reading.

I received my B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology in 2018 from West Chester University in West Chester, PA. In the future, I plan to attend graduate school with a focus on molecular biology. In my free time, I enjoy dancing and cooking.
