Lilit Martirosyan
I am a mathematician working in the area of non-associative algebras and representation theory.
My current research interests are primarily in the representation theory of Lie conformal algebras, quantum Lie algebras, and Lie superalgebras. These algebras and their representation theory have a fundamental role in theoretical physics: in conformal field theory, in quantum physics, and in string theory. More recently, I also work in number theory in the area of cyclotomic polynomials.
I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics, University of North Carolina, Wilmington. I started at UNCW as an Assistant Professor in 2017.
I worked as a Stefan E. Warschawski Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department at UC San Diego during 2013-2016. I worked under the supervision of Prof. Efim Zelmanov.
I defended my PhD thesis in Spring 2013 in the Mathematics Department at UC Berkeley. My PhD Supervisors are Prof. Vera Serganova and Prof. Joseph A. Wolf.
In 2016-2017, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Max Planck Institute for Mathematics. I worked under supervision of Prof. Yuri Manin.
