Nadya Hadun graduated from the Fine Arts Academy of Minsk in 2007 and moved to Budapest after deciding to continue her studies at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts. She graduated from the painting department in 2011.
Through lyrical and thoughtful works, Nadya Hadun blends the artistic and cultural traditions of her home country with their new home. In Hadun’s paintings, female figures wear traditional Slavic scarves, while their facial expressions are heavy with modern woman’s dilemmas and doubts. A touch of the Art Nouveau and golden coloring adds a further element of anachronisms to her works.
