Church Service: An act of worship, a preservation of tradition, a renewal of faith, and an affirmation of community.

Religious Services: Sunday: 07:00 P.M.
These are held biweekly on alternate Sundays. Services consist of singing, two prayers, Bible reading, a short opening sermon, and a main sermon. Each member then offers a comment on the biblical correctness of the sermons.
Comments on the biblical correctness of the sermons: Short statements that add to or emphasize what has been heard.
Common religious scripture themes include leading a right life in the eyes of the Lord; resurrection; and the idea of "judge not that ye be not judged." Scriptures are followed by brief minister messages, prayer and more song.
Offerings:It is only at the two communion services that an "offering" is given. This money is used for any emergency or special need that might arise among the members.

Meeting Places: Services are held in the homes of members. Holding a simple service in a location that changes emphasizes the importance of pure faith rather than rituals and sacred objects.

There are no ostentatious altars or stained glass windows. Home worship guarantees that the congregation remains small and intimate, a small but close network of family, friends ,and neighbors is formed.

Members are known by their first name and their absence is apparent at services. Each member is part of an emotional support group that protects each other from falling through the cracks. Family and friends celebrate happy events together and help each other out during tragic events.

Helping a neighbor in need is considered a more religious act than participating in complicated rituals.

Communion Services: These are held twice yearly, in the spring and fall. Before the service, a congregational meeting is held in which the attendees resolve any disagreements that they have with each other. We also discuss matters regarding proper lifestyle and conduct.

Days Of Celebration: We celebrate the traditional Christian holy days. We also observe a Fast Day on October 11.

Holy Days: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Good Friday, Easter, Ascension Day, Pentecost, and Whit Monday (the day after Pentecost). The reasons for these observances are to fast and meditate on scriptures related to these days. December 25 is a solemn celebration of Christ's birth and "second Christmas" on December 26 is a time for visiting and family dinners."

Light-House Of Prayer Ministries Aid Fund: The fund is built upon by donated funds from those in the church and is used to help less fortunate members.

Light-House Of Prayer Ministries is a gathering of two or more people in Jesus' name for the purpose of praying for, caring for, and sharing Christ with their neighbors and others in their sphere of influence. Essentially, believers pray for their neighbors by name, care for them through ministry, and share Jesus with them. Focused, consistent prayer among believers is the foundation for everything else that takes place.
