A restaurant called Radish

This restaurant opened in April 2011 at 3465 - 19th Street in the Mission District of San Francisco. The owners wanted color and curves to brighten up this dreary former corner store. Art Nouveau was our inspiration for the forms for the walls and bar. We used edge grain coconut palm for the floor, shelves and bar face which is from reclaimed palms past fruit-bearing years. The bar top is Squak Mountain Stone which is fiber cement board of recycled paper.  These materials of warm wood and dark gray were a nice offset the bright reds of the radish colored walls.
