CREATIVE MOVEMENT: AN ANALYSIS OF METHODS USED BY EXPERTS by RAMIREZ, EMMA HOCKING, Educat.D., Brigham Young University, 1980, 192 pages; AAT 8027241
Abstract (Summary)
The purpose of this study was two-fold: (1) to analyze opinions of experts and to identify certain techniques and methods used by creative movement specialists on developing successful creative movement programs, and (2) to create a unit of instruction from the results of the study as an aid to all those persons in and out of physical education in teaching creative movement skills.
The opinions and identification of techniques and methods were obtained by collecting information from the most recognized authorities in creative movement in U.S. Based upon the findings of a survey, there is no similar manner or method used by each individual specialist. Their philosophies and basic foundations are similar, but each individual specialist has his/her own unique focus upon the planning of a creative movement program.
A unit of instruction was developed from the questionnaire answers and other materials sent by the experts.
