What parents say about LHJNA

"I've never experienced a school that works so hard to meet the individual needs of each of its students. LHJNA is a  blessing to every student that attends and a hidden gem in Southern Maryland."

                                                                                                            Parent of 11th grade student.

Leonard Hall Jr. Naval Academy has been a great help in raising a responsible, respectful young man. The school has a system that makes rules clear and enforces fair consequences. There is no wondering if your child received homework (its all logged in a daily notebook that is signed by the parent) or even pestering to get your child to do it (there are natural consequences of infractions that will incentivize completing assignments). Besides this, the faculty all care about the kids and really want to team with the parents to accomplish educational goals and character building (which is lacking in most schools). The setting promotes responsibility (ranks, inspections, merits and demerits, emphasis on telling the truth) that challenge students and reward good choices. I have been very pleased!  When I ask my son, who was very hesitant on first attending, If you could choose what school to go to next year, what would it be. He answered  unreservedly: “LHJNA”.
