Engineer's Week - USC Open House
Mark your calendars for E-Week Open House.  It's set to kick off February 16-22, 2019.  Engineers & computer
scientists innovate, create and solve problems.  This is a FREE open house geared toward kindergarten 
through 12th grade students.

The open house is held at the Swearingen Engineering Center at 315 Main Street, Columbia, SC from 
10:00am - 1:00pm.  Additional exhibits will be displayed in the 300 Main Street building as well.  Please 
allow at least 2 hours to see all the exhibits.

Upstate National College Fair
The University of South Carolina will be among more than 90 institutions represented at the National 
Association for College Admissions Counseling's Upstate South Carolina College Fair March 16, 2019.  
The fair will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 PM at the Timmons Arena at Furman University, 3300 Poinsett

Mini Camp College
Mini Camp College is a college readiness workshop hosted throught eh Southern Association for 
College Admissions Counseling (SACAC).  This free event is designed to teach students how to 
select and apply to a college, make college more affordable to navigating the scholarshiop and 
financial adi process, and more.  this year's event is being held on Saturday, March 16, from 9:00 AM 
to 12:00 OM at Furman University.  Middle and high school students are encouraged to attend.  Please

Midlands Technical College Upward Bound Spring 2019 School Visit Dates
Midland Technical College Upward Bound program provides support services to high school students 
(grades 9-12) to prepare them to graduate from high school and enroll in and graduate from college.  
Upward Bound is funded by the US Department of Education and serves students in designated high 
schools in Lexington and Fairfield counties.

The Academic Counselor with Upward Bound will be visiting once again during the second semester.
