Charles Lutwidge Dodgson; (27 January 1832 – 14 January 1898), is better known by the pseudonym Lewis Carroll, he was an English author, mathematician, logician and photographer. His most famous writings are listed on this site. He is noted for his word play, logic, and fantasy, and there are societies dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of his works and the investigation of his life in many parts of the world, including the United Kingdom, Japan, the United States, and New Zealand, see 'links' for the UK & US web sites and for the companion site showing UK illustrated editions. 2015 is the 150th anniversary of the first publication of  'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland', there are events planned around the country throughout the year.
