Lewisburg Elementary Library

Welcome to the Library.  The Library is open Tuesday-Thursday 8am-3pm and Fridays 8am-11:00am.
Children come to the Library once a week for instruction and to check out new books.   Parents are also welcome to check out books.

Our Kid’s Night Out movie nights are great successes.  We are averaging almost 50 Lewisburg Elementary School students attending each night .  All the money raised goes into the Operation Heart account which helps support the Library staff salaries.   We will have a Kid’s Night Out on the first Friday of each month and afterschool when Student Council has a dance.  Be looking for details which be sent home the week prior.   Remember the event is for current Lewisburg Elementary School students only.

Lewisburg Elementary has an exciting program called Reading Is Fundamental or RIF. Three times a year children in grades Pre-kindergarten through fifth receive their very own book to take home and keep. This is our 25th year for the RIF program and each year the children seem to get more excited.

We are always striving to get the most books for our money and the best values from the children’s book companies. Each book ranges in price from $2.00 to $3.00 and contains a bookplate that shows names of contributors.  The contribution is tax deductible.  With approximately 500 students at our school, we need to purchase 1500 books this year which will cost us at least $3000.00.  We have no other funding source except what is raised locally.

Parents consider asking your employer or maybe your own company would like to become a RIF supporter. We are asking for your help in providing financial support in purchasing books to support our young readers. No donation is too small or unappreciated.

You may send your tax-deductible donation to:
