Luke 6:23 New International Version (NIV)

23 “Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets.

    Theme: Rejoice!

  My acronym for Rejoice:

Redeemer… “I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the

                                      Earth.” (Job 19:25)

Enthroned… “But you, O Lord, sit enthroned forever.” (Ps. 102:12)

Joy “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our

                          Salvation.” (Ps. 95:1)

Obedient… “He [Christ Jesus] humbled himself and became obedient to death-even

death on a cross!” (Phil. 2:8)

Invisible… “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.”

                            (Col. 1:15)

Comforter “For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his

                            afflicted ones.” (Isa. 49:13)

Ever-present “God is our refuge and strength, and ever-present help in trouble.”

                            (Ps. 46:1)

In the midst of this Advent-Christmas season, surrounded by the beautiful Christmas decorations and festivals, may we take the time to remember Jesus Christ Our Redeemer sits high, yet looks low.  In the midst of our situations, difficulties, struggles, we can still find a reason to sing, because Christ was obedient to His Father, “even to death on a cross”.  Although we cannot see Christ, He is with us always, He is our comforter, “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace .” (Isa. 9:6b).  My brothers and sisters, it is my prayer and hope, that every day we will discover reasons to REJOICE for OUR Savior lives and reigns forever and ever!  I say it again J REJOICE! Pass it on to family, friends, your church family, associates and strangers. REJOICE!
