All activities will take place in Lizzano in Belvedere,
a small characteristic town in the Appennine Mountains between Bologna and Florence (Italy)

The ARRIVAL DAY is July 20.
The DEPARTURE DAY is July 31. 
There will be one FREE DAY.

Courses and Prerequisites

Navigate the site of the Levi-Civita Institute to get an insight about the Philosophy and Scopes of Diffiety School. 

There will be two regular courses for beginners:

        Algebraic foundations of differential calculus as a consequence of the observability principle.

There will be at least two more advanced regular courses to be announced later.

The courses will be followed by exercise sessions. Moreover, various research problems of various levels will be
proposed to participants.

Additionally, there will be a 10 hours mini-course:

Participation Fee and Accommodation

Participation fee is 275 EUR. 
The fee covers lodging (in multiple rooms - 3/4 beds - with private bathroom), meals and lectures.
Participants opting for this solution will lodge in "Ex Colonia Ferrarese" (picture below). Meals will be served at "piccolo Hotel Tanamalia".

The participation fee may be paid cash in Lizzano. Admitted participants interested in different payment methods
should contact the organizers. 

More luxurious lodging solutions (single/double rooms) are possible at higher prices. Contact the organizers if you are interested.

To apply please fill the registration form. Your request will be considered. 
Admitted participants will be informed via email. The DEAD-LINE for registration is July 01, 2017.

How to Arrive

Bologna is the big town closest to Lizzano. Accordingly, the standard route through Lizzano is: Bologna -> Porretta Terme -> Lizzano in Belvedere

Bologna can be easily reached by either planetrain or bus.

From Bologna Central Station take a train to Porretta Terme and get down in Porretta Terme
(trains every 1 hour or less from 09.04 to 18.04 - download the time table - for more informations visit Trenitalia web page).

From Porretta Terme take a bus to Lizzano in Belvedere - Vidiciano (bus company ATC Bologna, bus line 776, time table here)
and get down in Lizzano in Belvedere (bus stop "Lizzano comune").

The school location, Piccolo Hotel Tanamalia, is at walking distance from the bus stop.
