Leverton raceway report

A warm start but a cold end to the day greeted the drivers for round 1 of the summer championship, we had twenty one cars running eight 250 rallycross, four budget class with two new drivers in Rob and Jack Dickson along with Evan and Dan, nine short course trucks with yet another new driver in the shape of Luke Eyre.
As said there were a couple of new drivers in this which is a little daunting for them, they all did well improving every round especially the young ones Evan and Jack.
It was the old timer Dan taking pole with 7 laps with a best lap of 35.65, second Rob Dickson 5 laps, Evan also with 5 and jack just behind with 4
With the greater experience of Dan he took all three finals, with Rob in second, Jack third with Evan fourth. Well done lads hope you enjoyed the day.
With eight cars in this class we had two finals this class is very closely fought with less than twenty seconds between first an seventh.
8th Ivor(Marvin) 12/322 7th Liam Bone 12/304 6th, Practice Trev 12/303, 5th Trevor(DC) Bone 12/300, 4th Paul Maldarnado 13/322, 3rd Darran Emerson 13/320, 2nd Brandon Johnson 13/308.54 Pole Mark Hulme with less than half a second 13/307.90.
B Final, There was a great win for the miserable Ivor Colby who's mood did not improve even though he had won, taking two wins and a third, second the even more miserable Trevor (DC)Bone getting two seconds and a fourth, Third Liam after getting one win could only manage a fourth and a third in the next two finals, fourth place was practice Trev also with a good start with a second, but again going worse in his other final placing third but that's no surprise there his motor has had so much running I am surprised it still runs.
A Final, well it's official it was not a flash in the pan as Brandon Johnson won all three finals with some very smooth driving well done, 2nd was my self with two seconds and a third, 3rd pole man Mark who could only do two finals getting a second in the first and fourth in the other, fourth Paul Robinson getting two thirds and a fourth.
With a welcome return to both Glen and Luke the latter keeping the ever impressive Lewis Williamson on his toes through qualifying, but he still came out on top with a quick 11/318 , second was Luke 11/325, Third Gary Williamson nearly cracking 11 with 10/300.39, fourth again another impressive run from Ben Le Mesurier 10/317, fifth and a great run for James Gallagher 10/319, 6th and pole in the B Liam Bone having made the A on the previous meeting good not quite emulate that this week 10/329, 7th DC 10/331,8th Paul Robinson not having such a good run 9/303, 9th place was the ever smiling Glen who just enjoys his racing whatever his position.
B Final, So to the most dangerous race of the meeting these boys are all fast but in the wrong places.
So it was Liam Bone coming out on top with two wins and a third, second was Trevor Bone finally putting a clean race together achieving a fourth, second and a first, third Paul Robinson with two seconds and a fourth, and of course Glen who produced two thirds and a fourth the twisty nature of the track just right for his style of driving.
A Final, with Luke having mechanical issues he only ran in one final achieving a second Luke was placed fourth overall, Lewis taking the win with three wins but I am sure Luke will be back to push Lewis a little harder next time, Second was Gary with two thirds and a second place, Ben was a very credible third getting a second in his second final rounding it of with a third and a fifth, fifth came James who had a great day he came fourth in every final but having no breakdowns well done James.

Next meeting 24th April, racing starting around 2pm ALL WELCOME
I would just like too wish all our drivers good luck in the first SCT national at ARC Raceway at the weekend.
