Sunday May 7 at the Leverett Elementary School, 85 Montague Road
Come enjoy the Leverett Communist Chorus at our Spring Concert, directed by Anne Louise White, on May 7 at 4pm! Beautiful songs and wonderful harmonies from across the world and down through time (including songs that will be familiar to you and will make you want to sing along).

Tickets are $5 per person.

Rehearsals for our Fall 2017 season start in September.

The Chorus’ spring and fall sessions are around 12 rehearsals and a concert. We meet on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:30pm, meeting in the Friends Meeting House on Rt 63 in Leverett. New singers are welcome. Sheet music and practice recordings will be available to download.

The Leverett Community Chorus is an intergenerational chorus open to anyone from age 7 up, directed by Anne Louise White. Music reading is not a prerequisite. Beginning and advanced singers are invited to join in this community and experience the joy of harmony singing. Our choral repertoire is drawn from a variety of cultures and musical styles. Even people who think they “can’t carry a tune in a bucket” in no time find themselves part of a glorious choir.

The chorus has two sessions, autumn and spring, each consisting of  around 12 rehearsals and a concert. The schedule is now on the calendar. We meet at the Friends Meeting House on Rt 63 in Leverett, Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, minus holidays and school vacations when the school is closed. New singers are welcome to come and try us out. Singers receive sheet music (free) and a practice CD playing all the parts, for a nominal cost. Practice recordings may become available to download.

The fee is $100 per person, up to $200 per family. Scholarships are available.
