Regarding Baptism

1/13/05 From The Lord, Our God and Savior - The Word of The Lord Spoken to Timothy, For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear

This is what The Lord says, concerning baptism:
 Let My beloved first be baptized in spirit and in truth, filled with the knowledge of The Holy, nourished by the Word of Truth. Let them come to Me in sincere repentance and receive forgiveness of sins, all burdens lifted, immersed and purified in The Spirit of God. For The Holy One of Israel is He who baptizes with The Holy Spirit and with fire, and He knows His own.

Therefore, hear and also understand: The Water of Life resides not in the water of the earth, of which all must drink to maintain their earthly body. Rather The Water of Life is that which flows from the body of The Messiah, He who is called Christ, which all must partake of to have life. For He alone is The Giver of Life, and in Him do all things consist, and in Him only shall one know salvation and receive eternal life. Therefore listen to Him, partake of His words, every one, and be baptized in the knowledge and wisdom of The Beloved, in whom you are accepted.
Tell Me then, can the water of the earth take away your sins, or cleanse you of your transgression? Can a river lead you to salvation or a stream call you to repentance? In what waters have you heard The Word of God speak? Thus baptism by water can not save you. Rather, salvation comes by the hearing of The Gospel, and through the confession of the mouth that YahuShua, called Jesus, is Lord; believing with all the heart and with all the mind that He is The Risen One, The Only Way, The Only Truth, The Only Life. For only by true repentance, in accord with the heart’s desire to be in union with The Messiah, shall one be set free.
So then, go forth and be baptized in the waters of the earth, if you so desire. Yet remember this: Baptism in and of itself is nothing, unless the heart of the one being immersed has been truly converted. Thus baptism is for a  testimony, an exercise in faith for the one who is saved already; or a mere dampening of the clothes, of the one who came forth in pretense. For I am The Lord, I search the hearts and minds, and I know whether or not one has truly turned to Me with their whole heart.

Therefore, here is wisdom: YahuShua HaMashiach, who is called Christ and Jesus, was baptized not for repentance, but in glory; My spirit coming to rest upon Him, declaring Him both Lord and Savior before the children of Israel. For the time had come for The Lamb of God to be revealed, for the power of sin to be defeated.

Behold The Son of Man, Immanu El, for He is The True Baptism!...

Embrace Him, that you may be immersed in the presence of God;
Breathe Him in, that you may receive of The Holy Spirit...

Put on The Messiah and wear Him well, for as it is written:
As many as were immersed into The Messiah have also clothed
Themselves with The Messiah, in whom there is neither Jew nor Gentile,
Neither slave nor freeman, neither male nor female;
For in union with The Messiah YahuShua all are one..
.

Therefore, all who refuse Him shall remain poor and naked,
Void and without understanding, very desolate...

Says The Lord.

Come Now, and Be Baptized
in The Living Waters of Spirit and Truth

7/10/05 From The Lord, Our God and Savior - The Word of The Lord Spoken to Timothy, For a Sister in Christ, and For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear

Thus says The Lord: Be wary of all these men in authority, who dwell in the churches of men; be wary and vigilant. For they hold tightly to singleness of doctrine, teaching always that which is built upon the corrupt knowledge and understanding of men, men who refuse to let go of that which was passed down to them by their forefathers, by which they also remain blind. Therefore, do not judge others by that which is put forth by men as doctrine, for they have been greatly misled. Rather study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. For discernment with fear is righteousness.
Embrace the wisdom and knowledge of God, break free from all these corrupt doctrines and filthy traditions held in such high regard. For if you dispense the food of God to the hungry, while using your own salt to salt that which has salt in itself, will not the food you offer lose its flavor and become bitter in the mouths of those who came looking to be fed?

I tell you the truth, many will there be in
My Kingdom who received no baptism by water..
.

Rather they had been fully immersed in The Word of God,
Enveloped in The Son’s sacrifice and love..
.

Baptized in The Spirit of Truth.

For most assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward, as do you, beloved one. For from the beginning, I have known you and loved you. So also have I loved and known those who received no baptism by water, for they have loved Me as you love Me... Therefore, do not cast stumbling blocks before the feet of those who love Me. Be one in Messiah, according to that which dwells inwardly in the heart, for this is well pleasing to God.
Beloved, where in The Commandments have I written all must be baptized by men to be saved? Baptism is indeed good, if it is a confession poured out from one’s heart in pure belief, an outward act of faith revealing one’s acceptance of their forgiveness in The Messiah. For the water of the earth can only cleanse that which is soiled on the skin. By no means can it cleanse that which is soiled in the spirit; this is reserved for the blood of The Lamb... Again I say to you, baptism by water is nothing, unless one is first washed by The Word, being baptized in The Spirit of grace and truth, which is received in YahuShua HaMashiach, whom you call Jesus and Christ. For He alone is The Baptism, The Very Water of Life, in which you must be cleansed to receive everlasting life.

Therefore beloved, remember:
The spirit of The Word, and not the letter,
Is the way, the truth and the life...

For I tell you the truth, The Messiah is coming
Quickly to baptize all in fire and glory!...

Those of a wicked heart, in fire;
And those of The Spirit, in glory, forever and ever!...

Amen.

2/15/07 From The Lord, Our God and Savior - The Word of The Lord Spoken to Timothy, For the United Church of God, and For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear

So then hear and understand the truth of baptism, of which you hold in such high regard, and be careful that you do not make it a rod or a measuring stick by which you judge others; nor make baptism by water more than it was ordained to be, lest you make the cross of The Messiah of non-effect. For as is circumcision, so also is baptism; neither is necessary for salvation. Therefore you speak without knowledge, and have failed to understand the loving mercies of God which are fulfilled in YahuShua, The Messiah. For you need only look to the thief on the cross, and have understanding. For a man who had never known baptism by water, nor set foot in a church, was assured of salvation when he confessed his sin before The Messiah, with a sincere and penitent heart. And in that same moment he was forgiven, and will enter into paradise at the Last Day, as Messiah had spoken it, saying, “In truth I speak to you this day, you shall be with Me in paradise.”
Therefore, My sons and daughters, heed these words which I had spoken by My servant already, for they speak to the truth of baptism: If you dispense the food of God to the hungry, while using your own salt to salt that which has salt in itself, will not the food you offer lose its flavor and become bitter in the mouths of those who came looking to be fed? I tell you the truth, many will there be in My Kingdom who received no baptism by water. Rather they had been fully immersed in The Word of God, enveloped in The Son’s sacrifice and love, baptized in The Spirit of Truth. For most assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. Therefore, do not cast stumbling blocks before the feet of those who love Me. Be one in Messiah, according to that which dwells inwardly in the heart, for this is well pleasing to God.

7/10/05 From The Lord, Our God and Savior - Wisdom Given to Timothy Regarding Baptism, For All Those Who Have Ears to Hear (Addendum to “Have Understanding of the True Baptism into Grace, by Grace”)

Listen, all you who hold baptism in such high regard, even as a measuring stick by which you count others worthy or unworthy unto God, according to your own perverse interpretation of Scripture, for here is wisdom: Whosoever God has cleansed is worthy; you shall not call them unworthy. For baptism by water was given to men, as an outward testimony of one’s commitment to God in The Messiah’s name, grafted in; and also for union in fellowship within the body of Messiah. Therefore, be wary of any doctrine which steals from the power of the cross, as though the sacrifice of The Messiah was not enough, lest you fall under judgment for that by which you have judged.

What is earthly, let it stay earthly;
And what is spiritual, let it stay spiritual...

Hold not to the earthly or to the understanding of men,
Nor grab hold of any private interpretation of
Scripture or established doctrine...

Hold fast to God!...

Place all your trust in The Messiah!
