"Kanikapila Friends"
meet every third Sunday of the month from 3 to 6pm in San Juan Capistrano.

Kanikapila means “play music.” It comes from two Hawaiian words.  “Kani” meaning “sound” and “ka pila” meaning “any string instrument.” Kanikapila has come to mean a gathering together to sing and play music. E Kanikapila Kākou! means “Let's Play Music!” We are a ʻohana (family) focused group.

Who Are We?

We are a group of friends (nā hoaaloha kamaʻāina) who are committed to sharing our passion for the Hawaiian music, language and culture with the community through fellowship and encouragement.
