Position Descriptions for the LHS Band Boosters

President: Shall chair meetings of the Executive Board and General Meetings of the Membership. Shall have a prepared an agenda for all meetings. Shall serve as Ex-Officio member of all committees.

Vice President - Competitions:  Primary responsibilities include events related to competitions/trips.  Coordinates student meals, transportation (trailer), chaperones. For continuity, this person is preferably a parent of a student involved in both fall and winter season.

Vice President - Fundraisers:  Primary responsibilities include overseeing all  fundraisers.  Works with the other vice president to help coordinates chairs for various events.

Treasurer: Maintains all monetary records/transactions working with the Foundation. Shall provide financial reports at all General meetings. Will be the primary signature on all booster expenditures.

Secretary:
 Takes minutes of all General and Executive Board meetings. Provide minutes for posting on the website.  Work with Chairperson and Executive Board in sending email communications.

  • Concessions (shopping/donations/serving)
  • Hospitality (providing meals for visiting directors/staff/judges)
  • Gate (selling tickets at the entrance)
  • Parking (directing buses, distributing directors' packets)
  • Security (enforcing the "no entrance during performances", working the gates)
  • Volunteer coordinator
