On behalf of the City University Construction Fund (CUCF), URS Corporation acting as Construction Manager, is soliciting the services of a General Contractor to provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary for the renovation of existing laboratories located in Lehman College. Work to include demolition of existing spaces (MEP systems, lab furniture, etc.), including related asbestos abatement and providing new HVAC modifications (New AHU, EF’s, etc.), new casework, lab equipment (fumehoods, etc.), food services equipment, plumbing modifications, walls, doors, frames, hardware, electrical modifications, and finishes as required by the plans and specifications.

 A mandatory site visit and pre-bid meeting is required. The mandatory site visit and Pre-Bid Meeting has been scheduled for Lehman College on November 29, 2011 at 9:00 AM. See Instructions to Bidders document for location of where to meet.

Bidders will be required to submit all required bid forms (forms included in Project Manual); including, but not limited to: proof of bonding capacity; project list confirming the company has satisfactorily completed a minimum of one (1) educational or pharmaceutical laboratory project of at least similar size and scope to this project that has been satisfactorily completed within the past five (5) years (form included in Project Manual); proof of insurance; Bid Bond; Experience Modification Rate for past three (3) years.

The MBE participation goal for this project is 7.25%; the WBE participation goal is 4.75%.

PLEASE NOTE: THE CITY UNIVERSITY CONSTRUCTION FUND (CUCF) WILL NOT APPROVE AN AWARD OF THIS CONTRACT FOR AN AMOUNT GREATER THAN $3 MILLION.
