The story of Morgan, Mandy, and the LEGO® Buildoff
Morgan and Mandy met at a summer day camp at Coates Recreation Center as children. They spent a lot of time together in their childhood at daycare building big 3-Dimensional puzzles. After summer camp, they went their separate ways. After 7 years, Mandy decides to touch base again. She discovers that his disease has progressed significantly since she had known him. When they were kids, Morgan could still walk, and now he is in a wheelchair. She also finds out he loves LEGO® bricks and decides to do something that will make Morgan feel special and help mankind in the process. One thing lead to another and soon enough, the 1st Annual LEGO® Build-off fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association was in motion. The LEGO® Build-off will forever be held in honor of Morgan as an event of awareness for the many forms of muscular dystrophy.
