AboutA genius and a trickster, son of the Titan Iapetus by Clymene, one of the Oceanids. Brother to Menoetius, Atlas, and Epimetheus. Prometheus was a challenger to Zeus's omniscience and omnipotence.

Over the years he tricked Zeus many times, though the final straw came about once he gave both fire and knowledge to man. Prometheus, in what was meant to be eternal punishment, was chained to a rock in the Caucasus, where his liver was eaten daily by an eagle, only to be regenerated every night thanks to his immortality. Years later, he was rescued by Hercules, who slay the eagle and freed Prometheus from his chains. To this day Prometheus still resents the fact that he had to be rescued by him of all people. However, he is forever in his debt for it, and does harbour a small amount of affection for him.

Once freed from his chains he was left to live among mankind, immortal but lacking much of the power he once had. He still has his intellect, but from torture came madness and occasionally that genius can become a dangerous thing.

Every twenty years or so he moves and starts a new life. He also finds that his form occasionally changes. He always appears mortal, but always slightly different. He doesn't know what triggers this change. Sometimes it doesn't happen for years at a time, other times it changes only months apart.

He can not control when his appearance changes, or how he will look.

Personality: Prometheus, for the most part, is a good man. He's mischievous though, and under the wrong circumstances he can snap. Years of torture drove him mad, and while he can usually keep it under control, there have been occasions (sometimes decades long) where he has given into it completely.

When his grip on his sanity slips, he is a very dangerous man.

PLAYER NOTE: Prometheus' PB will change from time to time.
