The Lambert Castle

Lambert's home was built to showcase his elaborate art collection of fine European and American paintings and sculptures.
At one time his collection was so vast that it was considered to be 'the nucleus of an American Louvre.'
Today, the Castle is owned by the County of Passaic, and it serves as both a museum and the headquarters of the Passaic County Historical Society.
Although this an older site, it holds much history of Passaic County and New Jersey and can be an important way for children to gain insight into the past and learn about where they live.
