Ancestry Library Edition Comes to the LCPL

posted Jun 29, 2016, 3:24 PM by Lawrence County Public Library
(Moulton, AL) – June 29, 2016 – The Lawrence County Public Library is pleased to announce it has been selected by the Alabama Public Library Service to participate in the early phase of the Ancestry Library Edition implementation plan.  Access is available onsite at the Lawrence County Public Library beginning Wednesday, June 29.

Ancestry Library Edition is one of the most important genealogical collections available today with unparalleled coverage of the United States and the United Kingdom.  Ancestry Library Edition is the result of a partnership between ProQuest and Ancestry.com.

As this is a new statewide service, the Alabama Public Library Service is working with ProQuest to develop training for librarians across the state.  We ask the public to understand staff may not be able to answer questions at this point.
