Teacher PD

This page is for professional development ideas.  If you are looking for an activity for independent learning and need ACT 48 hours approved or if you just want to improve your teaching, this page should help you find great resources.  If you find something that is NOT on this list just let me know and I will add it!

This website has a calendar that includes Classroom 2.0, Future of Education, EdTechTalk, LearnCentral TV, and  Edublogs Live Events.  Don't forget to check the Archive link at the top of the page.  I recently listened to Heidi Hayes Jacobs talk about Curriculum 21!

Discovery Education

Discovery Education has a a variety of materials and resources for teachers. The Discovery Educator Network (DEN) has webinars (and as with LearnCentral TV, check for archives!)  The DEN blog also has archives and great ideas.

We are a Discovery Streaming school and I recommend you become a DEN member.  They provide many opportunities for PD online, just check here.

If you need assistance with Discovery Education, stop by the Library or Mr. Dorosh can also help.

ISTE - International Society for Technology in Education

There are conferences, webinars, a leadership program, Graduate Certificate in Administration and Supervision and much more.  Not all the resources are free!

iTunes University

The University of South Florida is one example in iTunes University that provides great resources for educators.  Look under the following links...  iTunes University > University of South Florida > COEDU > PD Resources - Leadership.
