About Chieh's English Tutoring
I was so excited to find out that Chieh was joining Laura in the tutoring business! Laura is, handsdown, the best math tutor in the area and, as I expected, Chieh's English tutoring is right up there with her in knowledge and professionalism. He helped my son with analytical questions that needed to be answered in MLA format from his JSerra English class. When I picked up my son, he said, "Mom, thank you so much, I am so glad I came here for help!" He was so relieved to have the clarification and direction he needed to finish his assignment correctly! I have 4 kids to get through high school and college. Laura and Chieh are my one shop stop for math and english! Thank you!

We are fortunate enough to be introduced to Mr. Chieh as our daughter needed an experienced English teacher to coach her in her SAT English Prep, and this was done at a last moment with about two months left before her test (her lesson with Mr. Chieh was only once a week). Mr. Chieh managed to improve my daughter's score by 60 points!!! At the same time, her lessons with Mr. Chieh had helped her to excel in her PSAT/NMSQT where she qualified as a National Merit Semifinalist.
Mr. Chieh's teaching methods are detailed and customized to what my daughter's needs, hence effective and this can come only from years of teaching experience. After each lesson, he would emailed us the parents stating what have been covered during the lesson and strategized on what to expect next.
Thank You, Mr. Chieh!. We will be sending our younger son to him during this coming summer.

About Laura's Math Tutoring
I just started to bring my 12 year old son to Laura for math tutoring. She is wonderful! My son was not thrilled about having to go to a tutor. After just one session with her he said that he is actually not going to be scared to take a math test. She is patient and helps my son understand what he is actually working on. So happy we found her! I would highly recommend using her if you need help in math!

Laura was tremendous help with my daughter as a Junior and Senior as she was preparing for her SATs and school math requirements. She was always flexible with our busy schedule and her online appointment system made it easy to schedule an appointment. Laura was a big component in our daughter being prepared and her math grades improving, to then get accepted to University of Oregon.

About Laura's CSET Study Guides
From private school teacher to public school teacher: I had postponed, waited, dreaded, stalled and even spent $$$ taking UCR math courses (SMA) to avoid the CSETs. After spending years (literally!) fearing the dreaded CSETs after a college professor with a doctorate in math shared her fear of these tests, I thought I had to give up hope in achieving a SS math credential. Thus, I began a MS teaching credential.
Fast forward to finding the UCI online courses which led to Laura (why didn't I find her 6 years ago???) and I jumped into the courses and Laura's packets. I will be honest and share that I truly did not believe I could pass especially after taking and paying for many other courses/books that were pointless.
I scheduled/cancelled/rescheduled my CSET test date more than 7 times but finally forced myself in Feb 2018 to take CSET 1. I almost fell out of the chair when I opened the first problem and it was exactly the same as one I had studied/restudied from Laura's site. Then the second question popped up and I knew it! Over and over this continued to happen as Laura's prep really did cover the test questions - as she had promised.
By the end of the CSET 1, I had only flagged 3 MC problems and only struggled with one CR. I walked out and called my family to share that I truly believed I passed!! And I did pass - with the highest marks possible (except that one CR). Fast forward to July '18 and I figure I will attempt CSET2 after studying Laura'a material. I did not feel as over-prepared for this test but wanted to get an attempt completed (no more rescheduling)!
Once again, opening the test proved I had prepared correctly with Laura's material. The MC questions were exactly what I had studied! I flagged 4 MC problems but struggled more with the CR questions due to time management. I did not complete CR3 and barely wrote anything on CR2 but knew I had conquered CR1. I left after the test and felt a 2nd attempt would be needed to pass. Instead, I received my results and I passed!!!
To those people who are extremely fearful of these tests, believe me when Laura tells you to know these questions like the back of your hand, she is correct. Her website & packet will earn you the PASS you need - just follow her instructions!!
