In 2010 Latodami Environmental Education Center held its very first BioBlitz. A BioBlitz is traditionally a 24 hour time period in which experts and the public team up to catalog every living thing within a certain set of boundaries. Our first BioBlitz was held in the new Turnpike Wetlands located off of Pearce-Mill Road near the Skating Rink. The BioBlitz was a huge success; we had over 100 people come for the day to record hundreds of different species within the wetland alone.

In 2011 Latodami once again held a smaller version of a Bioblitz. The records for both 2010 and 2011 can be viewed below.
