Weekly Training Events

Subject to change! Please check the Forum before heading out.

Monday: Discovery Run. 5K run every Monday night at 7:45 PM starting at the beach playground. OPEN TO EVERYBODY. See also the dedicated Facebook for details of the course and run posted on Monday morning.

Tuesday: Siena Hill Repeats. Meet at the top of Siena Rd for a 6 AM start. 1st set - for warm up we start the first set together with some high cadence spinning to get the legs working.  2nd set - all out racing to the manhole cover at the top of the road with Badass points up for grabs, for 4 climbs (1:30 to 2:00 minute interval). Last set - some more competition but a little more lighthearted. On the way back from the spin to the roundabout to flush the legs, pair off based on abilities and race again for the 4 climbs. So 8 competitive climbs. Think of it as a Match Sprint on the velodrome but on a 800m hill instead. And of course, there is no obligation to race. You can do things your own way, and just join in for the company

Wednesday: Core on the Beach. Meet at Tai Pak beach playground for a 6 AM for the hot season, 6:15 AM in the winter. 6 sets of core workout (timed push ups, planks, burpees, etc.) plus running sprints on the beach.

Thursday: Pyramid of PainMeet at the bottom of the golf course road at 6 AM for 800m of climbing in just over 1 hour. At your own pace, or make it a race!  Here is the profile.

Saturday: Long ride outside of DB. South Lantau Hills to iconic climbs like the Beast and Big Buddha, or flats around North Lantau and Disney.

Most Public Holidays: Long ride on HK Island. Peak to Shek O beach. Check the Forum for details.
