Unlike an agency that may contract outside translators with questionable credentials, I lay my qualifications and experience on the table, so that you can feel confident that your translated document will be read as though it were written in the reader's language. All of my translations are revised by a native speaker of the target language before final submission.
I currently teach Legal and Business Translation at the University of Arizona, from where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Spanish Translation & Interpretation, with a minor in Pre-law Studies. During my studies, I completed courses in Mexican Constitutional Law and Public International Law in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico at the prestigious Monterrey Technological Institute, alongside law students from across Latin America. Upon returning to the States, I applied my classroom experience as a translator and interpreter intern at both Tucson Medical Center and Southern Arizona Legal Aid.
I recently worked as an on-site Translator and Interpreter at the Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Plant in Veracruz, Mexico, where I translated documents from daily staff memos to chemical safety data sheets and everything in between. I also provided both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation to engineers and administrators from over 10 countries during conferences as well as industrial maneuvers inside the plant itself.
In addition to my studies and experience, I am sincerely passionate about the work I produce and about the field of Translation and Interpretation, and I believe this is evident in the final product I give my clients, and in the attention I give my students.
