Reflections

2017-2018 Theme:
WITHIN REACH

Collection Dates: October 4th & 5th
          Before School-8:00-8:25 &  After School--2:35-3:00

All students are invited to be inspired by this year's theme "Within Reach" 
and express themselves creatively in one or more category:
Visual Arts (pencil, crayon, marker, paint...)
Photography
Literature
Dance Choreography
Music Composition
Film Production

We will proudly be hanging the work from all Lang Ranch students throughout the hallways for the entire year and can't wait to see their unique interpretations of this year's theme! 

Collections will be before (starting at 8:00 a.m.) and after (ending at 3:00 p.m.) school October 4th, & 5th in the Multi-purpose room. Late entries will not be accepted.


The project must be the original work of one child. All rules and entry forms are available below and on the Reflections table in the school lobby. The entry forms must be submitted with the artwork, have parent signature, and be completed. Students may enter as many projects as they would like.

Summary of Rules (please read full rules): COMPLETE RULES & ENTRY FORM HERE
* Work MUST be the original artwork of ONE child
* Do NOT put your child's first or last name on the front of any visual arts, photography or literature entry
* Entry form MUST include a title and artist statement created by the CHILD
* 2D Visual Art MUST NOT exceed 24"x30" including matte
* 3D Visual Art MUST include three photographs of the artwork and packaging to protect the art
* Photography MUST NOT exceed 11"x14" including matte
* Dance, Music and Film cannot exceed 5 minutes in length and 1GB in size
* Dance, Music and Film MUST have two copies submitted on either CD or USB drive in one of the following formats - AVI, MOV, MPG, MPEG, MP4, WMV, FLV and F4V.
* Literature MUST NOT exceed 2,00 0 words and can be type written or hand written. It MUST be written by the child or, in the case of kindergartners or 1st graders, written EXACTLY as it is dictated by the child.
* Literature MUST be submitted on 8.5"x11" paper single-sided or CD or USB drive in .pdf format.
* All entries need to be labeled on the back of the artwork with our state, category, division, last name, first name (i.e. CA.VisualArts.Primary.Doe.John)
