SAT Prep

Lane Tech SAT Prep Class

The SAT Prep Program is designed to prepare Juniors for the SAT Exam. The cost is $25 per student. Each student will receive the new SAT Prep book as a result of signing up for the class. Any sophomore who applies will be wait-listed for the SAT Prep Program until all juniors have had the opportunity to receive a placement.

This is a three-week program, four days per week. Students may choose to participate in either the zero or ninth period classes (2/12/2018 - 3/2/2018) OR (3/5/2018 - 3/23/2018). We strongly encourage any junior who is participating in International Days to sign up for the AM session versus the PM session.

Students, if you are having trouble with the payment, please arrange a time to speak with Mr. Hoof (amhoof@cps.edu) OR Mrs. Thompson (elgholston@cps.edu) and do not allow money to be your reason for not signing up for this course!!! 

Application Process:

1. Complete the Application Form (The deadline to apply is Wednesday January 31, 2018)

2. Pay the $25.00 fee online ONLY no later than Friday February 2, 2018 ( if this is an issue , please see Mr. Hoof in Room 212).

  2. After clicking the link, click on the button that says " Pay School Fees".
  3. Once you are on the Lane Payment site, please click on the link that says "Student Fees".
  4. You will then enter your ID and other vital information.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select " SAT Prep".
  6. After making this selection, click on " Pay Now" to pay the fee.
SAT Prep Dates:

Session 1 - AM (7:00 am - 7:50 am), Feb. 12th - March 2nd;
Session 1 - PM (3:20 pm - 4:10 pm), Feb. 12th - March 2nd;

Session 2- AM (7:00 am - 7:50 am), March 5th- March 23rd
Session 2- PM (3:20 pm - 4:10 pm) March 5th- March 23rd

The class rotations will include the following one-week sessions: Reading ( Command of Evidence and Expression of Ideas); English( Standard English Conventions and Words in Context ( pulled from the reading section); Math ( Problem Solving and Data Analysis; Heart of Algebra; Passport to Advanced Algebra)

  • Students are required to be on time and attend classes daily.
  • Students must sign up for a mandatory pre-test date ( Friday February 2, 2018 OR Thursday February 8, 2018) - Multiple dates will be allowed
  • Students must complete all parts of the application process to be officially added to the roster.
  • Students should come to class prepared to learn.
