Chicago Career Day 2015 for Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management and Landscape Architecture 

When: Saturday, October 17, 2015; 11:00am - 2:00pm

Where: Harold Washington College (30 E Lake St)

Details: CHICAGO – The Consortium for Design and Construction Careers is pleased to announce the Chicago Architecture + Design College Day. Held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 11:00 am to 2:00pm at Harold Washington College (30 E. Lake St.) Chicago Architecture + Design College Dayis a free event open to high school and college students, parents, teachers, and counselors interested in learning more about opportunities in architecture, interior design, construction management, and landscape architecture.

From 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, the College Fair will host more than 50 colleges and universities with degree programs in architecture, interior design, construction management, and/or landscape architecture. Representatives will be available to provide information, distribute materials, and answer questions on their respective degree programs. Formed in 1986, the Consortium for Design and Construction Careers is a consortium of colleges and universities along with professional organizations interested in informing individuals on careers in architecture, interior design, construction management, and landscape architecture. Nursing Career Day at Swedish Covenant Hospital

When: Saturday, January 31, 2015; 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

Who: Current students in 11th and 12th grade

What: The Nursing Career Day is a half-day, which will allow high school students to explore the field of Nursing as a career option. You will meet and talk with nurses about their work, visit the operating room, emergency room and nursery, and tour an ambulance.  

Where: Swedish Covenant Hospital, 2751 W Winona Ave, Anderson Pavillion, Conference Room 5

How to Apply: Pick up an application in the CCC.  Include an application fee of $20, which includes course materials, lunch, and a t-shirt.  Applications are being accepted until January 16th!




Advocate Lutheran General Hospital Health Career Fair

When: Wednesday, November 6, 2013; 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Where: Advocate Lutheran General Hospital 1775 Dempster St, Park Ridge, IL 60068

Details: Health Career Fair is a community event that introduces those attending to a variety of health care career options.  It's a wonderful resource that gives teens an opportunity to talk to professionals that actually do the jobs.  Those attending are able to get a hands on feel for careers, as well as their educational requirements, salary ranges, professional organizaions, and also pros/cons that might be associated with a particular career.

Actuarial Career Fair


When: Monday, October 7/14, 2013 4:00pm-6:00pm

Where: Chicago office of Illinois State University, 150 N. Michigan Avenue, Suite 1590, in Chicago, Illinois.

The 2013 Actuarial Career Fairs will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois, and Monday. These annual fairs are primarily intended for high school students, but are open to college students, and anyone else seeking to learn about the actuarial career. These are not employment events, but rather meetings designed to provide information about the actuarial career. No resumes are accepted. The events will be held:
