Hydra is one of the Saronic Islands of Greece, located in the Aegean Sea between the Saronic Gulf and the Argolic Gulf. Hydra is a picturescue historically preserved island with natural beauty, where vechicles like cars are not allowed. It is spread between two rocky hills and the houses follow the traditional architecture of the island. There are about 2500 residents and it is a popular destination for Greek and foreign toutists. It is located 40 miles to the south of Attica and  is accessible daily by scheduled hydrofoils that make the trip in 1 hour 30 minutes from the port of Pireaus.

Beachfront building 202 sq.m. on 513 sq.m land plot and 55sq.m remaining building allowance

Location and surrounding area

Both properties are located in the western part of the country of Hydra on the hillside just above the bay-beach of Avlaki at about 600-700 meters to the south of the main harbor of Hydra and the little harbor of Kamini lies to the south of the plot at about 600 meters. The main harbour can accept yachts and both can harbour speed boats.

The surrounding area is sparsely populated and quiet, close to historic mansions and stone-built stone villas that follow the traditional architecture of the island. The ground is rocky and stone removed from the site can be used as a building material, as is usually done for the stonebuilt houses of the island. 

The view to the sea is amazing. To the northwest it has view to Peloponnese, to the west it has view to the little islands of Vlychos and island Dokos.  One can enjoy the sunset over the sea to the west. To the northeast it has view to a rocky hill with windmills and pine trees. 

There are steps leading down to Avlaki pebble beach directly below. Avlaki beach is a designated swimming area very clean waters. No boats are allowed in this bay and it is quiet and regarded as one of the nicest beaches on the island.
