La Mesa Land Trust has set up a community garden for 2010 at 536 Utah, Just south of Marquette. All area residence are welcome to have a free place to garden. We will ask that you help us with extra produce to provide food each week to be given out at the Mesa Verde Community Center. The kids at the center will also be gardening during the summer program. Come out, meet your neighbors, share with each other and have a BLAST! We will be sharing pictures as we get the gardens up. To have a space in the garden please contact Rose at 266-6213 or email us firstname.lastname@example.org
Again there is no cost, we only ask that any left over produce be given out to area residence.
In addition we will also run an urban market during the summer. Currently we are in the process of completing the site design, and will apply for grant monies through local agencies for fencing, a hoop house, bee hive set-up, supplies, soil modifications, and a small shed connecting to the hoop house.
Come join us! A garden created by you for you!
