Plum crumble

Serves: 4 - 6        
Total time: 55 min         Preparation time: 15 min         Cooking time: 40 min

INGREDIENTS:
125 g butter
125 g flour
100 g sugar
400 - 600 g plums (depending on the size of plums and the baking dish), pitted and halved

METHOD:
1. Combine butter and flour with your fingertips until the mixture resembles wet sand.
2. Add sugar, mix and knead until smooth.
3. Cover evenly the bottom of a 20 cm in diameter baking pan with plums (you can use the pie mold or any  suitable, shallow and ovenproof dish).
4. Sprinkle plums with cinnamon, if desired.
5. Cover plums with the dough (simply pat it over with your fingers). 
6. Bake the crumble in an oven to at 200˚C for 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
7. Leave the crumble in the baking pan until cool, then simply turn it out onto a serving plate.
