Succulent pork steaks marinated in honey, lemon and rosemary

Ingredients:

2 steaks (pork, veal, turkey ...)

1 ½ tsp (liquid) honey

½ tsp chopped fresh or dried rosemary

Juice of 1 lemon

Salt and pepper


For the potatoes:

4 new potatoes, medium size,

3 cloves garlic, minced

3 tbs olive oil

Salt and pepper

2 tbs cornstarch (optional)


Method:

1. Place the steaks in a non metal bowl.

2. Add honey, rosemary and lemon juice to the steaks and cover them on all sides with the honey/ lemon/ rosemary mixture.

3. Leave to marinate for 30 minutes.

4. In the meantime, prepare the potatoes: wash, but do not peel them. Cut into quarters, place in an appropriate microwave proof or porcelain baking dish. Put olive oil and garlic in a small MWC proof bowl and microwave (40sec) briefly. Pour the garlic oil over potatoes, mix so that each potato piece is well oiled, season with salt and pepper. Cover and microwave for about 10 minutes or until done. Set aside.

5. Heat the grill or plain tefal frying pan and cook marinated steaks for about 10 minutes on each side or until they are well browned and crispy.

6. Dust the potatoes with cornstarch and fry on high heat until crispy.

Serve with green salad or grilled vegetables.
