Laine P. Shay

My name is Laine P. Shay, and I am an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the Department of Social Science. 

I received my Ph.D in Political Science at the University of Georgia.  I received an A.M. in Political Science from the University of Kansas and a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Central Missouri.

My research focuses on American institutions and public policy.  In particular, I focus on the consequences of institutional design on policymaking.  My research has been published in journals such as Political Behavior, State Politics & Policy Quarterly, and Legislative Studies Quarterly.
