Travelling to La Ermita

There are many direct flights into Malaga Airport, schedule, charter and low cost, from numerous UK airports.

Getting to and from Malaga airport

  •    By rail

Malaga airport has its own train station with a regular service to Fuengirola, from there La Ermita is a short taxi or bus ride away.

  •   By taxi
To take a taxi from the airport is not prohibitive, but it is advisable to agree a price first!
  •   By car

Car hire is available at the airport. There is a wide choice of car hire either at the terminal itself, or at nearby operators who run shuttle buses to their premises. It is advisable to prebook your car hire, note that the cheapest is not always the best, especially during peak times when there can be long queues at the collection desks. Car hire is particularly recommended if you wish to be independent during your stay and visit places away from the resort.

The drive along the coast road to Mijas is a good introduction to the Costa del Sol. After bypassing Torremolinos and Benalmadena on the E15, turn off for Mijas just before the road turns into a Toll Road, then follow the signs for Mijas. In the centre of the village, where the donkeys wait, there is a sharp right hand bend, turn left here down the hill, at the next corner take the cobbled road to the right and a few metres down this road you will arrive at La Ermita.
