Womens Institute

Monthly me
etings are held in Ladbroke Village Hall at 7.30pm on the first Thursday in the month. No meetings in August. New members or visitors are always made welcome by this friendly group.

The main part of each meeting is usually a speaker, then after coffee we conclude with a half-hour 'business' meeting during which members are updated on any new events that may be of interest to them and information is shared with regard to local or National items.

Our 2018 meetings are on the following subjects

Jan: Healthy eating in a toxic world
Feb: Card Making
Mar: Gift wrapping
Apr: More of little known Warwickshire
May: Resolutions
Jun: Hidden Gems of a Nature reserve
Jul: History of the area via commercial photography
Aug: Outing tba
Sep: Floral demonstration
Oct: AGM
Nov: Women's lives 1750 onwards
Dec: Christmas Social

Your local WI is a place to meet, make and keep new friends, learn new or different skills and widen your horizons on many issues. Socially, the Ladbroke and Deppers Bridge WI enjoys many events such as dance days, serious science lectures and literary skills. We raise funds at coffee mornings and run the tea tent at the village fete. Trips taken by members arranged at local, Warwickshire and National include visits to Hill Close Gardens, a river boat ride with afternoon tea, a special shopping experience at Hatton Craft Centre, a dramatisation of Boudicca, a visit to the Olympic site and Buckingham Palace.
