La Cannelle is a private plantation in the deep south of Sri Lanka, which harvests the finest single estate  cinnamon in the world.  We also provide fantastic pepper (black and white), cardamom, cloves, nutmeg, mace, tea and cashew nuts.

Most spice consumers have unwittingly used cassia for years not knowing it is a cheap substitute for the real thing.  Cinnamomum Zylonicum (True Cinnamon) is the authentic product - it is what culinary experts and flavour and fragrance specialists demand. While the taste of True Cinnamon is entirely different from that of Cassia it is also extremely important to recognize True Cinnamon has numerous significant health and nutritional benefits. Every single morsel of La Cannelle Cinnamon is caringly hand managed from cutting to stripping by professionals whose families have specialized in this noble tradition for many generations.  La Cannelle Cinnamon is dried naturally in our special, bug free, ventilated drying areas. It is  then sold to demanding producers of premium brands or directly to discriminating chefs and epicureans.
