In the year of 1700 Philip Kinter and Barbara King were born. Their home was Holland. The two married and came to America. They settled in dauphin County, Lancaster County, Huntington County and Potter Township. Philip and Barbara had seven children. All of Philip's sons served under General George Washington in the Revolutionary War.
Peter Kinter, one of Philip's sons, married Mary Finley, she was the daughter of John and Sarah Todd Finley [Sarah Todd was the daughter of Robert Smith Todd, General Eli Todd, a brother of Sarah Todd , had a daughter who became the wife of Abraham Lincoln.]
