I am an Economist at the World Bank South Asia Region Gender Innovation Lab.  I previously served as Associate Director of the DevLab at Duke and Research Scientist in the Department of Economics at Duke University.  I completed my D.Phil. (Ph.D.) in the Department of Economics at the University of Oxford.  Earlier in my career, I worked on research and policy outreach on aid, trade and development at the Center for Global Development and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.  I have also served as a visiting faculty member at the Lahore School of Economics and at the Lahore University of Management Sciences, a Fellow of the Center for Economic Research in Pakistan and the Consortium for Development Policy Research in Pakistan.
