The Kyoto University and University College London Workshop on the Perception of Motion and Pattern will discuss new approaches to motion and spatial pattern analysis from the point of view of both human and computer vision. We invite Alan Johnston, Steven Dakin, Lewis Griffin from UCL, and Shin’ya Nishida from NTT Com. Sci. Labs to present their deep insights into how patterns of local motion are grouped and integrated, the analysis of visual texture based on local texture descriptors (Bag-of-Textons) and problems in the identification of elements of spatial patterns due to crowding. This workshop is open to public and free of charge. It will be of great value to academics, students and industry researchers alike. We welcome your presence here.

The workshop will take place at N hall, Building NO.8, Kyoto University on March 12, 2013.
