The amount paid (less $35 & online service charge IF registered online non refundable) is refundable. No refunds will be given unless sickness or injury verified in writing by a doctor. Refunds will be paid 30 days after last Spirit camp of 2015.
DOES MY CHILD NEED A PHYSICAL FOR CAMP?
Yes. You can download our physical form from our website or you can use a school physical as long as it is dated less than 1 year. Physicals cannot be over 1 year old at start of camp dates. The waiver form is also available online for you to download.
WHO WILL STAY IN THE DORMS WITH THE CAMPERS?
We have 2-4 camp coaches per floor that stay in the dorms along with our camp managers. direct phone and room location in the dorm will be given out at check-in. The Camp Director is also at the dorm.
CAN MY CAMPER REQUEST A ROOMMATE?
Yes, your camper can request one roommate if attending as an individual. However, coaches will submit rooming assignments to Camp Director. We cannot accommodate more than 2 campers per room. We cannot guarantee suite mate requests or to be located next to another group of kids but we will try. We will guarantee roommate requests as long as BOTH campers request each other, the same goes for suite-mates requests.
WHAT MEALS ARE PROVIDED AT CAMP?
Boarding campers will receive breakfast, lunch and dinner according to the start and stop time of camps. Commuter campers will receive lunch and dinner only. If your child has a food allergy, please indicate on the medical form and the online registration and notify our medical staff at check-in on the 1st day. If your child requires special food or you would like to speak with the dietician in charge of the meals during camp, you can contact Cathy Jarzemkoski must be 2 weeks before the start of your camp
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD BRING TO CAMP
Please bring appropriate cheer/dance/workout
gear for the amount of days of camp. You
will need to bring bed linens (beds are twin), blanket (rooms are air
conditioned), pillow, toiletries and towels.
An extra pair of shoes/slides is recommended so you are not wearing your
court shoes outside. You will not
need to bring a water bottle for your time on during sessions – we will
have water/Gatorade stations set up at all facilities. You are welcome to keep extra waters or
snacks in your dorm room if you choose.
It is helpful to bring an alarm clock for your dorm room to make sure
you wake up and are ready on time. Decorations for room (optional). Camp Mixer Themed clothing or accessories (optional)
WHAT IF MY DAUGHTER/SON LOSES HIS DORM KEY
The camp staff will get a new key for his dorm and you will need to pay a $25.00 lost key fee before you can check-out of camp.
WHERE CAN I PARK ON CAMPUS?
The KU parking department will
ticket any car that is parked on campus without a proper parking permit M-F (7
am-5:30 pm). Parking is not ticketed in the Naismith Dorm lot, but will be ticketed for any lots around session facilities. With the exception of Saturdays and Sundays. The Rock Chalk Spirit Camps cannot be responsible for
any tickets. If you do receive a ticket, the Parking Department is located just
north of Allen Fieldhouse in the parking garage on the 2nd floor. If you have
any questions, call the Parking Department, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am -
5:00 pm at (785) 864-7275.
WHAT IF MY CHILD WILL BE LATE TO CHECK-IN OR NEED TO LEAVE DURING CAMP?
If you are arriving late to camp – please contact Cat Jarzemkoski email@example.com prior to camp and set up departure times and location for pick-up and return. If your child will need to leave during camp, please fill out the “Missed Sessions” Form at check-in on the first day to notify the camp staff the day and time your child will need to miss.
CAN I COME TO CAMP & WATCH MY CHILD?
YES! We always welcome parents/family members to come and watch. Check out camp schedules link.
IS THERE A CAMP STORE?
Yes – we will have items available to purchase throughout the session. Your child is responsible for their own money so please take this into consideration.
