I work with the UAE University (Federal University of the UAE) as an Associate Professor in the Computer Engineering Department. Previously, I was a Principal Researcher with the Telecommunications Research Laboratory, Toshiba Research Europe Ltd. I am broadly interested in innovation/technology and the role it can play to solve problems in different domains. Whilst a major thrust of my work so far has been on the technology side, I am increasingly interested in technology incubation, commercialisation and techno-economic aspects.
