I am an Assistant Professor at the Central European University and work on topics in Labor Economics, Public Economics, Inequality and Innovation. My research combines convincing research designs with large-scale administrative and novel historical data to gain insights into policy-relevant questions.

Before joining CEU, I was a postdoctoral researcher at University College London, and I completed my PhD in Economics at the University of Cambridge. Before my PhD, I worked at the Chief Economist's Office of the World Bank and for the Ministry of Finance of Mozambique.
