"Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity."
-John F. Kennedy

Since I was a freshman at Lake Zurich High School in Illinois, I knew I wanted to join the teaching profession. I had teachers and coaches who really cared about my well-being and wanted me to succeed. I saw my coaches shape my piers and I into well rounded individuals. We learned valuable life lessons like leadership, accountability, and character. Seeing the impact they had on my life made me want to follow in their footsteps. I've always had a passion for physical activity and working with kids, which is why I want to become an educator and instill the same valuable life lessons into today's youth. I truly believe all students have the ability to become physically literate individuals as long as they are approached with empathy and are treated with respect.
I am currently a student at the University of Kansas and will graduate in May of 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education. I enjoy fishing, exercising, playing football and spending time with family. I hope this website will give you a better understanding of who I am and the career path that I am following.
