Kudos Kitchen Kolaches


Makes: 1 dozen     Prep Time:  20 minutes     Bake Time: 25-30 minutes

3 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon vanilla

fruit jam (I used seedless raspberry and seedless blackberry)

powdered sugar for dusting

-In a large bowl with a hand mixer, or the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the cream cheese and butter. 

-Add the vanilla.

-Add the flour slowly until incorporated.

-Shape into a disc, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour.

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

-Roll the dough out to 1/8" thickness and cut into approximate 2 1/2" squares

-Place about 1 teaspoon of jam into the center of each square. Overlap the opposite corners and press the dough together to seal.

-Place the cookies on a parchment lined baking sheet.

-Bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.

-Cool completely and then dust with powdered sugar.
