Established at NSYSU in Summer 2012, this lab has been funded largely by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) in Taiwan. The group members comprise 4-6 MS students from mechanical engineering. The lab conducts numerous computational projects granted from MOST and industry in Taiwan. Each of our MS students typically spends two years to complete the coursework and thesis. In addition to offering thermal-fluid solutions, the lab aims at training students to be more competent with their English skills.

A + B <=> C + D
k(T)  = A x Texp [-E/(RT)]
d[A]/dt = -kf[A][B] + kr[C][D]

We always look for talented international and domestic students (Master/PhD) who are interested in using computational or experimental tools to study thermal-fluid problems, specifically in regards to chemical kinetics of fuels, aerosol filtration, cooling and complex fluids.

Our alumni have gone on to be CFD engineers in world-class automakers in Japan, thermal engineers in domestic steelmakers, system engineers in
defense, graduate students at prestigious universities in US and Europe, etc.

Since Aug 2018, our lab has been affiliated with National Tsing Hua University in Hsinchu, Taiwan. As of 2019, NTHU is ranked worldwide at the 33rd place in Engineering & Technology and the 50th in Mechanical Engineering by QS World University Rankings

Previously, our lab was affiliated with National Sun-Yat Sen University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from 2012-2018.
