KSRA Executive‎ > ‎

Life Member Mike Bartram

Elected as a KSRA Life Member in 2007.

When people speak about Kamloops Soccer, it is virtually certain that Mike's name will come up.
Mike served the game as a coach, mentor, player, referee and fan for several years. As a match official, Mike worked the local fields for 15 years, eventually achieving Class 1 status and officiating at several Provincial and National competitions during his tenure. Mike was also a mainstay on the KSRA executive, serving for 10 years including 5 as president. Mike was incredibly dedicated to the development of youth officials in the region as he was a certified referee instructor, who taught several clinics to local officials. Sadly Mike passed away on November 21, 2000; however, Mike's legacy will forever be a cornerstone of soccer in Kamloops. Mike is survived by his wife Charmaine and daughters Karen, Sadie and Haley.

Mike's family Karen, Charmaine, and Haley accepts the KSRA Life Membership plague from KSRA Secretary Darren Clark.

The Kamloops Soccer Referees Association is a society that is rich in tradition and history. Over the years, several members have made contributions to the association above and beyond the call of duty. There have, however, been a few members whose contributions were so substantial that they have been voted as Life Members of the Kamloops Soccer Referees Association. Please see below for the criteria necessary for Life Membership in the KSRA:

Life Membership (LM): Are referees or former referees who have served the KSRA beyond the call of duty during which they have held volunteer board positions and contributed unselfishly to serve referees, referee development and the KSRA. They must be nominated by the board and supported by a majority of the membership vote at the AGM. The LM pays no fees but has full voting privileges. As KSRA life members still owe a fee to the BCSRA, the KSRA will pay these fees for all life members out of the general account.
